Partnership | XYZ Robotics and LG CNS Drive E-Commerce Logistics Automation in South Korea
"The logistics automation market has moved from DX (Digital Transformation), which applies AI and big data, to RX (Robot Transformation), which effectively utilizes robots in all processes," said Lee Jun-ho, head of the smart logistics division at LG CNS.
XYZ Robotics, a leader in one-stop robotic picking solutions, and LG CNS, a South Korean IT solutions provider, have announced a joint partnership to drive e-commerce logistics automation in South Korea.

On September 17th, the two firms signed a memorandum of understanding to combine XYZ Robotics’ robot solutions into LG’s robotic integrated operations platform. This collaboration aims to carry out joint projects in e-commerce logistics centers in South Korea and boost warehouse automation based on cutting-edge robotic technologies.
LG CNS highlighted XYZ Robotics' exceptional technologies in the fields of three-dimensional vision and gripper design, empowering robots with “eyes” to see and “hands” to pick.
Fueled by robot motion technology as well, XYZ Robotics offers turnkey solutions for coast-to-coast warehouse automation, including depalletizing, mixed case palletizing, trailer (un)loading, and piece picking. The company also introduced the mobile picking robot Rocky to provide more flexible options.
These pick-and-place solutions allow more efficient logistics distribution in the warehouse, especially in the e-commerce industry featuring high throughput demand.
Under the partnership, XYZ Robotics and LG CNS have already started off the first project by deploying depalletizing and palletizing robots at an e-commerce logistics center in South Korea.
Recently, XYZ Robotics has also successfully deployed its innovative mixed case palletizing robot for automated order picking in a Japanese 3PL warehouse. Based on different SKU needs, the robot can first depalletize products from single-SKU pallets and palletize them into multi-SKU pallets to fulfill retail store orders.
XYZ Robotics has now carried out over 500 robotic pick-and-place applications worldwide. In this way, South Korea is an essential market for XYZ Robotics’ expansion, and the partnership with LG CNS marks a pivotal milestone in it. The two firms will continue to diversify robotic solutions and drive further innovation in logistics automation.
