Overview

The customer is a well-known auto part manufacturer whose factory is in eastern China. The factory deployed the 3D vision to help automate the loading of auto control arms. There are 9 types of parts that are made of aluminum alloy and thus highly reflective. The parts are transported from a conveyor and should be grabbed and placed on the machine tool.

Procedures

• The conveyor transports the part to the robot.

• XYZ vision identifies the pose of the part and guides the robot to grab it.
